I had a dream last night about this game...

I think it had something to do with the Rondo spicy chicken & Birdman stomach flu, but the Celtics basically reinacted the Family Guy Ipecac episode (aka a chain-reaction of puking across the whole team). It was the grossest but funniest dream I’ve had in a long time.

That's better than my dream

I dreamed my cat puked on my toothbrush and I didn’t realize this until after I started brushing my teeth.

I got a good chuckle out of that story, nice.

What's up with all the dreams of sickness & pukin'?

It seems the Celtics have got us all suffering from mass hysteria!

Seriously, even if we don’t win this series the Magic need to beat the Cetics down so they feel LUCKY to have gotten past us . . .

I guess that’d be exactly like the Bulls made them feel then!

I feel you . . .

but I’m not capable of sticking my head in the sand and pretending that it isn’t a very real possibility.

I TRULY believe that if both teams play their BEST game, the Magic win (probably easily too). Problem is, our team has done ANYTHING but be consistent and the odds are certainly stacked against us having our best game tonight.

I’m not saying Boston isn’t capable of a letdown either, I just don’t think it’s very likely.

I’ll still be rooting for our boys to beat the odds till the bitter end though.

GO MAGIC!!!

I says to me that we'll need spine transplants to be true contenders next year.

Seriously, the lack of effort, focus, urgency or team sometimes displays is the thing that worries me most about our team because I’m not sure there’s an easy solution for it.

Nothing, except that Jameer's absence hurt the team in a ton of ways.

.. as was to be expected when Nelson went down with an injury.

they are capable of it.

just look at the game without D12 against philly… that tells a story.
why it isn’t happening more often is beyond me.
if anyone has a reasonable answer to that,i’m all ears

by Dzogi on May 12, 2009 11:52 AM EDT reply actions

I didn't mean they were incapable. I mean, if we can't beat this team without KG it's telling that

this current roster (‘Meer not included, obviously) is incapable of winning a big series or getting out of the first round. Certainly they are capable of winning this series and I still believe that they will. SVG will have the troops ready tonight, they aren’t afraid of the road, they embrace it.

Put it this way .. the Magic are a Glen Davis shot away from being up 3-1.

I know that if Orlando executed in every game like in Game 1 and Game 3, the team would be in a good position against Boston right now but that’s the reality of the situation. The series isn’t over, yet.

Call me crazy...

but our team needs win because, among other things, we are probably the only team with any chance of defeating the Cavs.

Other than the Pistons, the Celtics are the ones that makes us suffer the most. If the Magic are able to win yet again in Boston, then they will be in very good position to win the series. A game 7 must be avoided at all costs.

I don’t know about you, but I really don’t want to hear it from the media if Lebron and Co. end up winning the championship. It will get incredibly annoying. If the Celtics somehow manage to advance to the East finals, then it’s over. I don’t think they can do much against Lebron’s crew, and I don’t think that the L.A. or Denver will be able to stop them.

Hedo and Alston really, really need to come out of their slump.

agreed

We match up very well against the Cavs, I’ve always said the Celtics would be the toughest matchup in the playoffs.

Raf

Needs to use the handles that made him famous and break down the interior of the Celts. We all know he will never shot a high % Rafer should be banned from shooting 3s.

Raf’s job tonight should be get in to the paint and cause havoc.. Rondo loves to reach, get by him or get him in foul trouble. Come on Raf do something.

Yeah, that needs to be Alston's only job tonight on offense. Dribble penetrate.

.. what concerns me is that Rafer doesn’t present himself as a threat right now offensively.

Okay E....I'm playing by the rules here.

I’ve been over to the Celtic’s blog and I just want to puke (following the common theme of this thread). So, instead of getting into it with them, I’ll vent over here on home turf.

Over half of the posts on their latest story have to do with how they can beat the Cavs.

Really?

It’s not like the series is over. It’s tied WITH THE MAGIC. Screw the Cavs, Celtics!!! Better take care of business with us first.

I just hope that the Celtic’s players are looking past us just like their fans are. Would love nothing more than to crush the Celtic’s tonight.

Nothing more.

.. eh, sounds about right.

All the questions directed towards LeBron last night after the Cavaliers beat the Hawks were all questions related to the Celtics. I hope all of the Magic players take note of the Boston/Cleveland talk.

and also...
Perkins didn’t get an MRI on his shoulder.

"No, there’s no need," Rivers said. "They know what it is – he’s got shoulder problems. No reason to look at it, they might find something.

Asked if it was Perkins who didn’t want a new exam of the shoulder, Rivers said they let him make the call. Perkins has previously had surgeries on both shoulders.

"That’s why we didn’t do it. We didn’t want to find anything. It’ smarter that way."

So much for the word of the day, eh?

The Magic failed to execute down the stretch and it cost the team the game and, most likely, the series.
