Van Gundy has put himself on the spot, and what he needs to do next to avoid more second-guessers is this:
He needs to put Courtney Lee back in the lineup at shooting guard, and return J.J. Redick to the bench. This was the rotation most of the last half of the season.
Van Gundy should also bench point guard Rafer Alston for Anthony Johnson, but he won't. I don't think. But he needs Lee to give the Magic more scoring, more defense and more athletic ability.
Although he struggled (1-of-7 in Game 4), Redick has built enough playoff confidence now to handle the switch.

His assist total was good last night
But Redick ate away valuable minutes in the 4th when someone who was more productive could have been in his place. And when will the real Hedo show up?
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.

Hedo's playing bad on purpose
He knows if he plays well this post-season his price tag will go up for his next contract. By playing poorly, he is driivng his price down, thus making it easier for Orlando to re-up him. It’s beautiful psychology, really, because it will pay huge dividends in the long run.

I do too
Because that means that people will eventually shutup about signing Hedo in Sacramento. Ack at that idea.

I obviously want Turk back on Orlando
but he would be a perfect fit for New Orleans. That team desperately needs someone other than Chris Paul that can create their own offense. Everyone else pretty much is a spot up shooter or post presence. I think the Hornets are just a Turk-type away from being legitimate title contenders.
But I hope he’s back poppin the Magic jersey next year.

The Hornets can't afford Turk.

That lineup has been explored.
Like I said elsewhere, it’d be good for defensive purposes .. but not in extended minutes.

I like how CLee
handled the point at the end of the game. Regardless, JJ would bring some nice energy (as did CLee) coming off the bench.

.. at the very least, Redick will provide fresh legs to guard Allen.
