Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Which Highlight Was Your Favorite?

You know the drill .. new showcased fanpost. It's been nearly a week since the Magic plastered the Cavaliers in front of a nationally televised audience. There were a ton of highlights for Orlando during that game and 3QC member RussL was kind enough to composite a majority of them in a poll. So, if you saw the game last Friday, which sequence in the game was your favorite? Let's get the voting machine churning with activity. If you'd like, you can include some additional thoughts in the comments section about the game, a highlight you liked, etc. Enjoy. - ER

So the Magic beat Cleveland for the eight time in their last eleven meetings.  They didn't just win, they dismantled the league leading Cavaliers.  This was one of the best games the Orlando Magic have ever played, as a franchise.  They clicked on all cylinders from start to finish - playing championship caliber defense, while running the game at their pace and consistently finding the open man on offense with terrific ball movement.

There were many highlights in this game.  My question is, which was your favorite?  I know I didn't include them all, there was no way as there were so many :)

OK, I voted but with such an EPIC game I think this should be a TOP 3 Highlights Thread!

My Top 3 would be:

3. Gortat for 3!!! (seriously how could ANYONE not put this in their top 3?)

2. Magic up by 41 (this against the “best” team in the NBA speaks for itself)

1. Dwight PACKS Lebron (this single HUMILIATING PLAY on the NBA’s Golden Boy encapsulates the entire game, IMO)

I'm with Ben. I can only pick one?

.. I have to go with Dwight’s block over LeBron. The crowd got really into it after that sequence.

But to be honest, if I could choose all the highlights, I would. Great poll, RussL.

You could, theoretically, put up an option for a combination of answers ..

.. so like A & B, A, B & C, etc.

After much deliberation, I voted for Dwight's rejection of LeBron

Lewis’ back-to-back treys were more crucial, but Dwight’s emphatic swat really took LeBron out of his game for good. It was readily apparent when he goaltended Dwight’s shot on the Magic’s ensuing possession.

The game was over when...

we went up by 41 and also when D12 sh!tted on the Queen. But there was no coming back when the Polish Prince/Hammer hit the THREE!!!

Agreed.

Cleveland can beat Boston, but Orlando would give them a run for their money.

I went with Shard's threes

I loved that. Capping the rout by just draining them right in their faces. You actually saw the heads drop at the same time. I had a massive grin throughout that game but that actually made my face hurt from the smiling.

Dwight stuffing LeBron was a close second, followed, again, closely, by Marcin sinking the three to ice probably one of the finest displays I’ve seen in recent Magic memory.

No doubt.

Definitely was one of THE most impressive wins in franchise history, when you talk about the regular season. Best team in the league, best player in the league, nationally televised audience, etc.
