April Fools! Magic Pulls Off a Huge Prank

What a April Fools prank it was that day. There were so many pranks that day in Orlando. It was like 80 pranks all in one! Thanks to Yahoo Sports, they reported this funny prank. I was laughing my head off. Here it is:

Well the staff of the Magic had a fun day. I couldn't explain it, but some of the links helped me. That day, the Magic pretended to trade Dwight Howard to the Oklahoma City Thunder and re-sign NBA great, Penny Hardaway. Then they would play basketball like the Washington Generals.

It was weird how the fans believed it. But what got funnier was that the Magic lost the game. To who? THE RAPTORS, 99-95! Wow. But here's where it gets better. Halftime. Now I need to explain this. You'll love it. Absolutely love it.

Okay, so here's how it went. Like what happened in this one halftime game, the NBA version was so way better. So, there was this blind-folded man, you see. And guess what he had to do? Hit a half-court shot, blind-folded. Can't see anything!

If he made this shot, he wins 100,000 dollars! The fans packed in Orlando really didn't want to believe this. They thought it was just some random guy who would try it but will miss it. Wrong. This is where it gets exciting.

He made it.

The fans in Orlando were just going berserk! Going wild. It's like making a movie called Fans Gone Wild. The so-called Mr. Lucky guy made the crowd get shocked, however.

"I actually just got laid off from work," he said, "but we're going on a trip."

To where?

When the fans didn't get it, he did. He told them what it all was. And that is where he probably should have just ran away because I think the fans might have been pissed off. It was all a joke!

You can see jaws dropping, eyes wide open, drooling. Everything. Even that record scratching noise you hear on some of those TV shows when something bad or lame happens.

You think it was horrible? Not really.

The blind-folded man was a hired actor, according to Sentinel. So it wasn't that bad. The fans didn't care, just about the game. And some of the fans will never ever forget this prank.

So it is Magic beating the Fools, 1-0. Is that it, right? Hey, maybe when you are on the Magic staff, you can try this, too. But only on a special day. Which one am I talking about, you may ask? Well that may be April Fools day.

And no one can make a better prank like this for the whole year!

I was there

and he didn’t make the shot at all. He airballed hard. And when he said to Scotty B (who, before the shot, told the crowd to cheer no matter what happens) that he’d been laid off, the crowd groaned guiltily. It was funny until then, and then we all felt bad, lol. But we all had a good time, at least.

Even if the prank was ripped off of one from College Humor.

Obey the hat.

Yeah, I thought the guy missed and the "prank" was that the crowed cheered as if he made it.

I'm the other guy at Third Quarter Collapse, with a Twitter account.
