Poll: Predict The Leading Scorer

I won't lie. I tried to come up with a witty title for this post (a play on words, something Magic-related, etc.) but I couldn't think of anything, so I was forced to settle with "poll" as part of the headline. Boring and generic, I know.

Anyways, we all realize what's going down in roughly 10 hours - Game 3, Orlando Magic v. Philadelphia 76ers. Rather then going into any preview specifics (Ben has the rundown), I wanted to gauge the pulse of the Third Quarter Collapse community and see who thinks will be the leading scorer for Orlando in tonight's game. Dwight Howard? Courtney Lee? Rashard Lewis? Hedo Turkoglu? Other?

Bonus awareness points given to those that predict a specific scoring total or stat line (correct or incorrectly, doesn't matter) in the comments section below.

Rashard Lewis, it is.

I’m assuming the 3 is his assist total.

You could have titled the topic: "Gortat: Predict the Leading Scorer"

Because he is a ‘Pol’ you see.

I know it’s lame, but I’m just going to enjoy the rest of my day as if I came up with a brilliant play on words here. Good day everyone.

Not bad.

We have a ton of witty people here so maybe someone can think of a better post title for me next time.

Enjoy your day!

I hope it's Dwight

he really needs to establish himself and have a monster game already.

That being said, I sure as hell hope it’s Turk AND Lewis. Come on, guys, seriously…

Obey the hat.

I'm too scared/anxious/sick to my stomach to think about this logically.

So I clicked Dwight.

I can’t wait another 8.5 hours.

102-95 Magic ; Dwight = 26pts; 16 rebs

Magic need to go over 100 and hold 76ers under. That is how they beat them in the regular season. I think the 76ers are going to defend Courtney pretty tight so Hedo & Rashard need to step up if they are left open. Hopefully one or both will get in his three-point shooting rhythm.

Hope so .. Lewis and Turkoglu both need strong games tonight.

Welcome to 3QC, btw!

.. been nice chatting with you on Twitter.

Dwight 27/15/4

I see us doing what we should’ve done in Game 2. Take the crowd out of it early with a 31-16 1st Q lead.

107-95 Magic (Sixers make a run at the end)

Honestly, I just pulled those numbers out of nowhere as I typed lol. But that would be my ideal outcome

*4 blocks

I love these little prediction games. Makes us feel geniuses beforehand then after we just look like idiots lol.

So who is the 3QC leader in awareness points anyway?

by bandrewg08 on Apr 24, 2009 12:18 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, I may do a weekly poll from now on! Consider this one a test poll ..

.. I wanted to see if it would generate discussion (which is has). Thumbs up, 3QCers!

Who’s the leader in awareness points? Good question .. consider this poll the start of a running tally.

No worries! You, like everyone else, seem to have confidence that the Magic will win tonight.

Lee

They’ll leave him open again. They’ll figure he’s a rookie, in the playoffs, with a hostile crowd, and he’ll handle it the poorest. But he’ll surprise them, because he’s money.

Sure would be nice if Lee went off again.

Sure would be nice if Lee went off again AND Lewis & Turkoglu joined the party.

I voted for Howard

assuming that the refs aren’t handing out flops like candy again tonight. Dwight dominates inside with 28-18…the three point shooters finally find their rhythm and Orlando wins 103-88.

Well, Steve Javie isn't reffing tonight's game so don't have to worry about phantom calls for both sides.

You provide your pick (Dwight Howard) AND the score (103-88). Nicely done .. hopefully your right.
