Sights Of Game 1
In a more light-hearted post, I had a few friends in Orlando attend Game 1 and they were kind enough to take some pictures for Third Quarter Collapse. So for those who couldn't attend the game for a variety of reasons, you can get an inside-look at what was going on before tipoff at Amway Arena.
Enjoy the pictures!

Thanks for the pics E. Did you ask them about the noise/atmosphere?

No problem.
My buddies said that the noise/atmosphere was on and off .. to be specific, they said that in the first half, it was so-so, then when the Magic were making their run in the third quarter, it got louder, but it never felt playoff loud to them. It felt like a regular season game for them and when the fourth quarter came around, shock was setting in. Here’s a direct quote from one of my friends ..
“If this were 1994-95, people would ALREADY be wearing blue and white shirts…people were GIVEN blue and white shirts, and still not everyone put them on…its become more of just an “I want to watch” town as opposed to a “bleed blue and white” town."

DAMN.

It’s that type of sentiment that would lead me to believe they’d try to move this team eventually IF it weren’t for that new arena, thank God for that!

I think all it'd take is one deep run into the playoffs and that fanbase would bleed blue and white again...
There were just too many years of mediocrity from the Magic to bring the novice fans back into the fold after only a couple of years of improved success, especially if this postseason doesn’t bring some type of success beyond reaching the second round!
This is my sentiment.
I think that fans are just waiting for the Magic to simply advance to the second round before they begin to get rowdy. Having been to many playoff games back in Orlando in the past, the fanbase has gotten so used to mediocrity that their enthusiasm has been dumbed down.
Knowing Orlando (I was born and raised there), I really, really, really think that if the team makes it far in the playoffs this year, that you’ll begin to see some of the electricity back in the O-Rena and the rabidness back in the city.

PJ might have been a Spurs assistant in Hedo's one season there.
I guess that’s how they know each other…?
Yup. Assistant for Hedo in 2004.
