[Courtney] Lee is poised and mature for a rookie, thanks to spending four years in a solid college program. Playing for a great teacher like Stan Van Gundy has helped him even more. He's already proved he can be a solid starter for a playoff team, but if he can learn to impose his will on the game, which [Chris] Paul is a master at doing, then he could take a big step toward becoming a potential top-three guy on his team.
Paul is a topflight competitor who uses his emotions to dominate. And Lee, who has considerable athleticism and skills, could benefit from running his engine a little hotter at times.
David Thorpe of Scouts Inc. takes a look at which veteran Lee should study. Thorpe suggests the rookie should study CP3, to help improve as a player.

Interesting...
I would think that based on playing the 2 guard and being as quick and explosive as he is, if he became more consistent in his mid-range game, he should model Rip Hamilton’s game, but with more athleticism.
I don't think Thorpe is trying to indicate that Lee is a more comparable player to Chris Paul ..
.. I just think there are certain qualities about CP3 that Courtney should emulate himself.

Lee's a rookie surrounded by more established players...
…I think he’s doing enough to assert himself thus far.
