Scoreboard Watching: April 2nd, 2009
Scoreboard Watching will give Orlando Magic fans a heads-up on which games with potential playoff implications to pay attention to.
HEADLINER: Milwaukee at Philadelphia, 7 PM
The Bucks are more or less out of the playoff hunt and really have nothing left for which to play but pride. However, don't mark this one up as a Philadelphia victory just yet. Thaddeus Young, the team's third-leading scorer, will miss the next two-to-three weeks with a sprained right ankle. If Milwaukee pulls off the upset, Philadelphia will drop to 6th place in the Eastern Conference, which would tentatively make them the Magic's first-round playoff opponent.

I don't think Philly will lose tonight (even with Thaddeus Young out) but you never know.

Bucks up 9 at the half!
Though, they were up big in the first half last night and found a way to lose, so…
Not surprised the Bucks first half lead didn't last ..

More than "kinda" .. Philly was +19 in the second half.

76ers win, putting Miami in 6th place
The Heat would be Orlando’s opponent if the playoffs started today.
I have a gut feeling the Magic's playoff opponent won't be decided until the final days of the season.

Is this one of the new "toys" you guys were talking about?
by the way, the Wiz, err, Zephyrs beat the Cavs
This isn't a new toy, per se. More of a new feature.
.. if you want a rundown of the new toys on the site, just check out Ben’s post covering the new features. http://www.thirdquartercollapse.com/2009/3/31/817309/this-site-has-some-new-toys

Correct
And the way things are going, this feature isn’t going to last long. The teams we want to win are 1-2 so far.
Hah.

.. and yes, the Wiz beat the Cavs.
Won’t matter since Cleveland has the #1 seed pretty much locked up.
Still, must have been nice for the Wizards to beat the Cavaliers. I know Agent Zero enjoyed it. After Barkley said at halftime that Cleveland would come back to beat Washington, here’s what Arenas said ..
“Sorry Charles [Barkley] didn’t mean to spoil your prediction…it happens.”

I enjoyed it!
It made me feel a little less disgusted about our last loss.
Also, now the ESPN can’t spend the night GUSHING over Lebron’s 14 game winning streak OR put down the Magic for our loss to the Raps cuz the “almighty Cavs” lost to an even WORSE TEAM!
So to sum it up . . . THANK YOU WASHINGTON!!!
