Game 2 NBA TV?!

Damn it! It better be on Sunshine.

Since I was on League Pass, I got to watch all of the NBA TV ones

It was sorta cool because they showed all of the press conferences after the game which I enjoyed.

Yeah I saw them all on NBA TV too, but still...

last year we were kind of taken a back, by the lack of respect card, meaning, they try to hide magic/raptors because they think no one wants to see that. Well they can’t hide us this year!

The NBA is notorious for slotting some of the "lesser" playoff matchups on NBA TV.

.. usually that practice is done only for the first round.

The press conferences were dope

about 20-30 minutes with SVG, Dwight, ’Shard and Turk after every game.

I especially loved the SVG ones

I remember after Game 2, SVG was commenting on Toronto’s coaching (in a roundabout way). He said something along the lines of, “It’s obvious Toronto will have to change their starting lineup next game. What they have been starting with now just isn’t working.”

SVG: Where criticism of opposition happens.

Just saw Avery Johnson on SC...

His pick for 1st round upset was Magic-Sixers. Reasoning was Theo Ratliff, Reggie Evans, and Samuel DalemberT (he pronounced the “T”) will take Dwight out of his game. He also said the obvious and overused, “They’re going to miss Jameer Nelson.”

Hey idiot, we know Jameer is out. We do miss him. But you obviously haven’t watched one Magic game in the past 2 months. And its Dalem-BEAR!! That’s why you don’t coach anymore. Even Isaiah Thompson Thomas has a job now… OK, that means nothing, but still…

Can’t stand ESPN people

I saw the same thing, and I couldn't believe it!

He thinks the trio of Ratliff, Evans, and Dalembert will match the physicality of Dwight Howard, in addition to the Magic missing Nelson.

I really don’t think that will bother Dwight; by the time Game 1 comes on Sunday, D12 will have rested for 6 of the previous 7 days, which should re-energize him big-time, and he should average 20/10 for this series. I also believe the Magic’s three-point shooting will burn the 76ers.

We all know Rafer Alston has done a better-than-adequate job in replacing our All-Star point guard in Jameer.

Magic in 5.

Thanks DSK

I’ll let you know when I get there this weekend what action I’ll be wagering on Sunday.

These analysts know nothing.

Any one who’s actually watched the Magic play or at least followed how they do would know Orlando has dominated Philly since Howard has come into the league. Dalembert will get two fouls in about 4 minutes…Howard will go for 25-18 and Orlando wins in at most 5.

by Lee for three on Apr 16, 2009 12:41 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, the analysis was .. poor.

Orlando matches up with Philadelphia real well.

Think of it as a scouting trip for the Magic's next opponent in the 2nd round

Money well spent, I say.

If the Magic defeat the 76ers, I mean.

I don’t want to be overconfident and jinx the team. 76ers can be a problematic team; although, I did read that Dalembert hurt his shoulder in the last game of the season. I don’t know how serious it is, but that has to be a daunting proposition to face Dwight while you have a sore shoulder.

Right. Never good to be overconfident.

.. but it’s safe to say that Orlando has the edge over Philadelphia in the series.

I'm surprised they didn't have the Cavs and Celtics on Sunday for a...

Lakers, Cavs, Celtics triple-header. Also, why are they giving us two days off in between home games in Orlando and in Philly, but only giving us one day off to travel from Orlando to Philly? I hate NBA Playoff scheduling!

They did the same thing last year

They don’t care about what makes sense, they care about what’s best for the TV networks.

Hate to cheer an injury, BUT, it's looking like a definite possibility that Garnett will miss the entire playoffs!

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4073024

“He’s not going to be ready. After watching him practice, there’s no way,” Rivers said on WEEI-AM. “The way I saw him move today, I don’t know if he’ll be ready.”

When asked to clarify, Rivers said there was a chance Garnett could be out for the rest of the season.

Wow . . .

I wonder if that gives the Bulls a really good chance now to upset Boston. Celtics still have Pierce, Allen, and Rondo along with great team defense, so it will probably be Boston in 6 instead of a sweep. Nonetheless, it should be an interesting series.

Yeah. They won't struggle with Chicago, if it were the Hawks again, maybe.

Think about it, the Celtics played us really really tough without KG in two games. They should get by Chicago, but playing us in the second round, 7 games of Dwight Howard, who is going to slow him on that team? As long as ‘Shard and Turk are healthy, there’s no excuse not to take out a KG-less Celtics team. AND I’m not afraid of the Cavs at all!

Boston will still beat Chicago .. but obviously if KG is out, the series becomes a little more interesting.

LOL

I never wish ill-will or misfortune on a player, regardless of who he is .. but obviously the possibility of KG missing the entire playoffs is good for the Orlando Magic. Can’t deny that fact.
