3QC End-Season Awards: Most Improved Player

Since the second-half of the season has gone by for the Orlando Magic, it's time to present the inaugural Third Quarter Collapse End-Season Awards. Instead of conducting a regular poll, we at 3QC have decided for you to vote and comment which Magic player you feel is most deserving of each award.

Who do you feel is the Most Improved Player?

The results will be complied & announced on Saturday.

Not Rashard, Not Hedo,

is Jameer still an option? Cuz my vote would go to him, but for the sake of this argument then maybe Dwight. It’s Dwight baby.

Not a bad choice.

I could see a credible argument given on behalf of Dwight.

Jameer Nelson

Who knows how far he could have led the Magic this year record-wise? I bet it would have rivaled Cleveland’s.

Orlando likely would have been flirting with 65 wins, which would have rivaled Cleveland's win total.

Jameer

Two words: All Star. What looked like a questionable contact now looks like a steal, just hope the shoulder isnt a chronic thing from now on.

Jameer Nelson/Meer Meer/Mighty Mouse/ Meer: The Little Engine that could/Napolean

Yeah, him.

This post was bought to you by British beer, cured meat products and Ruben Boumtje-Boumtje: the player so good, they named him twice.

LOL at the Napolean comment. Nice.

Dwight

He has really made leaps in how he defends and in his ability to score outside of using his raw power. Defensive Player of the year, 3rd or 4th amongst MVP voting (a prediction), All NBA 1st team, and so on and so forth. The guy has arrived and is only going to get better.

+1

D12 improved every aspect of his game. He added several shots, improved his ability to use the backboard, became an absolute terror in the paint, and improved as a leader (which I have criticized, but he really has elevated the team).

isn't it great that our two best players...

are our fastest developing??? I’m SO happy Meer and Deewhite are the only two guys brought up cuz they’re so young, and LOCKED IN to playing for us for a few more years.

And I’m in the Dwight camp, haha. He’s just become the Beast we would really only see in flashes before.

His game is living him to his giant shoulders.

No doubt. It's great to see him mature and progress as a player.

Im sure everyone will say Jameer...

And yeah, he was amazing this year, but I almost expected him to break out after the situation with his dad passed and he was in a better frame of mind. So Im giving mine to Rashard, he pisses me off when he jacks up 3 instead of posting it up or taking it to the hoop, but not many guys making his money would give up so much to be a team player. I know he could average 25 a game if he wanted to.

Shaq sucks.

Jameer Nelson, HANDS DOWN!

Marcin has also done well.

Courtney played above my expectations for him, but he’s a rookie, which in my opinion makes him an unknown, and invalidates him from this award.

by farfromfl on Apr 14, 2009 11:02 PM EDT reply actions

Got to go with Jameer.

Lewis improved, Gortat improved, Howard improved, a lot of people improved… there was general improvement on a team-wide basis. But Jameer improved the most.
