3QC End-Season Awards: Best Individual Performance In A Game

Since the second-half of the season has gone by for the Orlando Magic, it's time to present the inaugural Third Quarter Collapse End-Season Awards. Instead of conducting a regular poll, we at 3QC have decided for you to vote and comment which Magic player you feel is most deserving of each award.

Who do you feel had the Best Individual Performance In A Game?

The results will be compiled & announced on Saturday.

Dwight Howard's triple double against the OK Thunder

10 blocks is just amazingly hard to do.

Yeah, but the way the thunder played that game, it wasn't THAT hard

Gortat had 3 blocks in 3 minutes in that game. The Thunder WANTED to get blocked.

There were two just amazing games by Howard

One where he achieved his first triple-double, against the Thunder. 30 pts, 19 points, and 10 boards.

There was also the game against Charlotte where he tallied 45 pts, 19 boards, and 8 blocks.

Yeah, Dwight had some nasty games this season.

No worries. You're not alone with your sentiment.

Dwight vs. Charlotte, 45 points (career-high), 19 rebounds, 8 blocks (!!).

Howard single-handedly won that game for Orlando. He was in rare ‘Optimus Prime’ mode that night.

Jameer Nelson Vs. LA Lakers.

Dwight’s monster night against Charlotte a close second.

This post was bought to you by British beer, cured meat products and Ruben Boumtje-Boumtje: the player so good, they named him twice.

Dwight triple double ftw

I am wandering off the beaten path here....

Dwight Howard versus the Boston Celtics on March 25 in an 84-82 win. It was one of the most important wins of the season, it angered Boston fans, and it was a big confidence builder going in to the end of the season. No, it wasn’t his best statistical night by any means. However, he overcame a defensive effort by Perkins and Davis that he had been having a massive amount of trouble with. Not only that he had a 20-20 night again with 4 blocks. His biggest defensive effort came with time running out and Paul Pierce taking yet again a clutch shot that Pierce is VERY good at.

It may not jump off the board, but it was a tremendous effort on a night where D12 had to step up as the bench was borderline awful.

Not a bad choice at all. Excellent reasoning.

Jameer against the Lakers

Too lazy to look up the date, sure its on here, but he was about as money as a player can be in the 4th quarter, was making Derek Fischer look retarded.

Shaq sucks.

I'm saddened that I missed so much this year.

I live in HI, and haven’t ponied up for the league pass yet. Maybe next year. All I catch right now is box scores and Yahoo’s live game tracker. And whatever ESPN or TNT throws for me.

Thus, with no first hand knowledge, I abstain.
