wade's commets

hey i dont know if i can even post this here... but i came across this post about the dwayne ward rating dwight howard as his #1 choice to play alongside... pretty short article, but a pretty dope possiblity, even as a long shot... what do ya'll think???

personally i think it would work, and id be willing to give up a lot to get him... shoot, vince and jj would be a barginin my opinion...

The team would have to be gutted.

So, Dwight + Wade on a gutted team or the current team? I’d personally take the current situation 9 out of 10 times.

by Kennedy K on Nov 27, 2009 3:57 AM EST reply actions

No, the team wouldn't be gutted.

The deal would have to be something along the lines of Carter/Gortat/picks/etc.

No way Miami agrees to a sign-and-trade with the Magic (hello, Pat Riley!) unless Wade holds them hostage

It’d probably take Vince, M.P., Marcin, and draft picks/cash. Or something.

It shouldn’t be news when a player says he wants to play alongside Dwight Howard. I mean, who wouldn’t, besides Shaq?

Lebron

by 4QB on Nov 27, 2009 8:59 AM EST up reply actions

LeBron would kill for it

If only because he wouldn’t have to play against him to win that title…

Remember when everyone was saying “no way we’re gonna trade T-Mac, he’s our star player, he’s better than Kobe”..

LOL, remember, Wade did say, in this league Ive learned that anything is possible.

Dwight isn't going anywhere.

The more likely (but at the same time, unlikely) scenario is Dwyane comes to Orlando.

Give them Foyle for Wade even swap….it makes sense, think about it Miami, do it now before A.F. is 100% again, then he’ll be worth Wade AND some cash…

by Dome of the Rock on Nov 27, 2009 3:20 PM EST reply actions

Then they would once again have a dominant big man

Makes sense to me, and Dwight could stay on as a starter then.

VC, Gortat, Bass + Future 1st round pick(s) = ....

…Welcome to Orlando, DWade =)

Miami would still have enough money to sign a player like Stoudemire, Bosh, Joe Johnson, etc…

Orlando – Nelson/Wade/Pietrus/Lewis/Howard

Miami – Chalmers/Carter/Beasley/O’Neal/Gortat

VC, 'Shard, 1st.

This really makes the most sense. And if they want Gortat, they should give up a young PG.

I highly doubt Otis would trade Rashard.

Miami would never accept that much salary back.

Vince is a ‘maybe’ because he’s an expiring contract, in essence, next year.

They might not sound like a big deal but..

when an NBA superstar is saying that he wants to play with your teams best player, you obviously need to take that into account and explore the possibility.

In the end, it aint up to Spoelstra, or Riley, or MIA fans or Uncle Luke, its up to Wade and right now, he’s saying he wants to play with Dwight Howard.

I can assure you that Otis will explore the possibility but it's highly unlikely to happen.

Yep.

Otis has said, even if we win a championship, he’ll look to improve the team. If he can get Dwyane Wade, who, don’t forget, has a solid relationship with Stan, he will.

by TheRevTy on Dec 1, 2009 7:55 PM EST up reply actions

Yes trade Rashard's max contract for a guy that will actually earn one

Shard 4 Wade might happen if Wade doesnt resign at least Miami gets something for him

I probably know Judo! How many of you can make the same boast?

by Souwantmyname on Nov 29, 2009 12:07 AM EST reply actions

Might happen? It won't happen.

It makes no sense for the Heat to accept any deal involving Lewis.

Love to see it happen and I would trade a few people to make it happen, but it CAN'T happne

I dont think we even have the cap space to sign him as a FA or that Miami would be willing to do a sign and trade with there in conference/division title contending rivals (let alone in-state rival) that meant dealting their franchise player.

No, we don’t have cap space for 3 or so more seasons when Lewis, Howard, and Meer all come off the books I believe. The in-state rivals thing is very real tho, and like I said in the News page of it, it can pretty much only happen if Miami knows Wade will walk off to NJ, NY or another of the teams with the high salary cap money (Which entails Miami has probably failed in adding any substance or stars in the summer at this point, ticking Wade off; and not a high chance), and thus is forced to S/T Wade to wherever he wants, which would actually be Orlando at this point imo. Gortat, Ryan, Bass, JJ, Miami knows Orlando has the assets for a S/T. A Nelson/Wade/Lewis/Dwight core is just like it is right now but with VC in instead of Wade, and I think such a S/T would either have VC and 1 other contract going out (Say Bass or Ryan, now add picks too) or a more hurtful trade (for Orlando) of Nelson with Gortat and Bass Im guessing; and all those numbers match up right I think without even needing to fact check it yet. The 20% value difference is rather big when total contract numbers reach 15-22mil range.

by derekk on Nov 29, 2009 4:48 PM EST up reply actions

VC can come off the books and we still wouldnt have cap space for 3 or more so seasons, so I’d imagine VC is resigned to a shorter contract or another Magic GM Otis blockbuster trade goes down at some point in the next 1-2 seasons.

by derekk on Nov 29, 2009 4:51 PM EST up reply actions

This trade wouldnt be too hard to pull off

we have pieces that teams want
