The Toronto Raptors have the dubious distinction of leading the league in offense (115.2 points per 100 possessions) and bringing up the rear in defense (116.4 points allowed per 100 possessions). If the visiting Orlando Magic can maintain their hot shooting from the last time these teams met--Orlando sunk 17 three-pointers in 29 attempts, without Vince Carter or Rashard Lewis, who will both play today--the Raptors won't stand much of a chance. That, and Dwight Howard, for whom Toronto has no answer.
But don't discount the Raptors. They always play Orlando tough, and although the Magic's defense has improved lately, Toronto's high-octane offense will present them a challenge.

Magic won’t be getting the 57 points they got from Nelson and Redick in the last meeting, so Carter, Lewis and Pietrus (who did not play last time) will need to be on the offensive to make up for that. Go MAGIC!

The Magic were loads better with Dwight in the game. He's controlling the D and the boards.
Also, Anthony Johnson’s a +11 in 8:50… the run came with Jason Williams off the floor, which seems backwards.

aj had a fine game..he doesn't have to score
he had 2 big offensive rebounds and one assist with no turnovers in 9 minutes. we had spectacular ball movement for most of the night and we have so many guys that can pass the ball well. give the guy a break he isn’t terrible like most of you guys are making him out to be.
Good win, still some defensive concerns, but at the same time a good rally in the 2nd qtr and they hung tough

We seem to be on a roll now however Carter’s shooting percentage and volume of shots are a little bit of concern
I wouldn't care about the volume if his percentage was higher. Really it was just the first quarter.
He was 2-11 in the first, 7-13 the rest of the game.

Carter's advanced shooting percentages coming into the game were average.
Vince played relatively well against the Raptors. He attacked the basket a lot, which was good.

He's had a string of poor-shooting games. He started off hot though.
Really its just been an inability to convert around the basket area. Easily the worst close shooting percentage of his career. It’s a little early for serious concern, but it’s something to look at. I wish he got a few more whistles though, he’s 4th in the NBA in free throw percentage
