I like him a lot, both as a person and as a player.
And I know that the fans are really warming up to him quickly, so that’s been nice to see.

I think that’s what we always appreciate about him too. Because he wasn’t HIGHLY touted out of high school (despite i think leading the state of California with ppg his senior year, or something like that)…i think he was always a humble player in my eyes.
Not super fancy, and probably won’t ever reach/have a superstar status, but gets the job done. I hope he continues to improve and contributes to the Magic…he’s been fun to watch.
The many times I've spoken with him, he always carries himself like a professional.

Better than playing with Stanfurd product Brooke Lopez in New Jersey? Haha… =D
As much as rivalry’s go, they tend to dissipate for me, when these players get into the league. Being from the Bay Area, i watched Matt Barnes for a few years with Golden State. I can appreciate his defense and hustle to the ball.
All in all, I think RA is in a much better position to succeed down in Orlando than he was in New Jersey. I really hope that he gets his deserved minutes, and can contribute to what looks like a great Magic team this year.
Good answer and very true! I think if anything it makes for good locker room bets when they make the pros. I bet J.J. and VC will get into it when the college season is in full swing!
Hah, good point…i forgot about that pair’s rivalry.
It’s really good to college players, that did not get a HUGE amount of hype progress in the NBA.
i.e. a Ryan Anderson. Both JJ and RA had question marks coming into the league, perhaps JJ even more than RA. But to see them both continue to improve and excel shows that they are both continuing to master their craft.
They're hard workers, that's for sure.
