Question

When Rashard returns from his suspension, where does this leave Anderson and Bass? Either way, one of them will take a huge hit in minutes. I am sure it will depend on matchups and such, but it would be a shame to be spending all of this money on Bass to have him barely play. Also, it would be a shame to have a talent like Anderson riding the bench. This is a great problem to have, I was just curious as to what everyone’s take on this was?

It'll probably depend on matchups, ultimately.

Stan is smart, he’ll figure it out.

If our biggest problem is finding playing time for our backup PFs

We’re in good shape.

To be honest, I see Ryan as more offensive, Brandon as more defensive. Given that we’ve got D12 and Gortat at the base of the funnel, I think in most situations Anderson would be more useful. Only if a team has two good inside bigs would I expect Bass to have more playing time.

I honestly think that we may see Ryan @ the 4 and Ice-O @ the 3

It wud just completely overwhelm teams, and makes the rotation smoother. Pietrus wud be the 1st guy off the bench like maybe halfway thru the 1st quarter, then when Carter and Ice-O go to the bench, Barnes and Bass wud come in putting Pietrus @ the 2. This, IMO, maximizes our depth and will allow our end-of-game players to be fresher in the 4th quarter (Nelson/Carter/Pietrus/Lewis/Howard).

Lewis needs to stay at the four the majority of the time.

He has too many problems defensively at the three.
