Poll: Which Orlando Magic Players, If Any, Will Join Dwight Howard on the Eastern Conference All-Star Team?
Tomorrow night at 7 PM, the NBA will announce the reserves for the Eastern Conference and Western Conference All-Star teams. As we've chronicled in two recent news posts, there's a sentiment that Rashard Lewis, Jameer Nelson, and Hedo Turkoglu may make the East's roster. With that in mind, I present the following poll, which will close at 6:55 PM. RSS readers, please visit the site to participate in the poll.

I'm almost certain Nelson will get a spot.
Lewis is deserving too, but he’ll get “snubbed”.

You think?
I really hope he does, but I just don’t see it happening, I feel like we’ll be complaining how he got robbed tonight and rightfully so.

If Jameer isn't an all-star reserve...
idk what the coaches are thinking, Jameer is the second most deserving player to be an allstar on this team. If indeed he is made an all-star, that gives us 3 all-stars on the team (Howard, Lewis & Nelson).
We thought the same thing last year about Hedo.
He got robbed, this year Jameer will get robbed, it’s the disadvantage of playing on a small market team.

Last year and this year are entirely different situations.
These are the records, comparatively, when the rosters were announced ..
This year the Magic are sitting at 34-10.
Last year the Magic were sitting at 29-18.
Hedo got snubbed because of Orlando’s record .. Jameer will get in because of Orlando’s record.

Jameer will go.
I just think Lewis is too quiet in terms of all-star noise for the coaches to notice him. He’s not the flashy scorer-type, he’ll just quietly build up a very nice statline.
Well, he has been noticed before .. Lewis is a former All-Star when he was with Seattle.
Not sure that theory really sticks.

I meant to add that in to my previous comment, my bad
I think Ray Allen being around in Seattle and drawing the spotlight with the Reggie Miller comparisons had more to do with that selection. Orlando, outside of Dwight’s fame, are very much a unified, near-anonymous understated team , as opposed to a collection of outspoken, flamboyant individuals. But then couple that with the East having quite the glut of quality forwards, and we have ourselves a snub.
Either way, I’m happy with this team, regardless of which coaches get caught up in the hype machines and player promo packs sent out by teams.
I’m more looking for Stan to get his recognition and coach the game.
You sort of contradicted your own point.
You state that Ray Allen had some effect on Lewis getting an All-Star bid .. yet you don’t apply the same logic to Dwight Howard. I think the circumstances are nearly identical.
I digress, just pointing out pure semantics at this point.
If the Magic have a better record than the Cavs at the All-Star break, then yeah, he’ll be coaching the game. Not to his delight, though.

Hey, if Stan gets the nod for the ASG
Dwight and Jameer play about 1 minute between them, KG, Pierce, Lebron etc all play 48 and Stan will also push for plays to create OT! Haha
I don't think Jameer will make it
it’ll be another Hedo snub. HOWEVER, I really hope to be proven wrong :) He does deserve to go, imo
Rhaegar fought valiantly, Rhaegar fought nobly, Rhaegar fought honourably. And Rhaegar died.
No faith? Even after posting the comparative records of the Magic between last year and this year?
Man, that’s tough. I don’t blame the lack of confidence around here behind Nelson getting a spot, but if you look at the circumstances between last season and this season, I think the odds are much more favorable for ’Meer now, as opposed to Hedo then.
