Halftime in Sacramento: Orlando Magic 75, Sacramento Kings 56

It's been a while since I've made a halftime update, but I simply couldn't ignore the Orlando Magic's setting a team record for points in a first half (75) and three-pointers made in any half (13). Here's a look at where the four factors stand at the half:

Team Pace Efficiency eFG% FT Rate OReb% TO Rate
Magic 50 151.1 77.4% 23.8 23.1 14.1
Kings 112.0 55.0% 30.0 15.8 10.0

The Magic really need to tighten up on D. The Kings are getting some fairly open looks from midrange and under the basket. Stan Van Gundy can't be happy with the team's lax defense.

I doubt he'll complain about the offense, though, although one never knows for sure with Stan.
