Tonight's Game: Orlando Magic at Phoenix Suns
Orlando Magic at Phoenix Suns, Dec 12, 2008 9:00 PM EST
UPDATE: Jason Richardson and Jared Dudley will be in uniform for the Phoenix Suns tonight in their game against the Orlando Magic, reports Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic.

The Orlando Magic will try to extend their winning streak to five games when they take on the potentially new-look Phoenix Suns in the desert tonight. The Suns traded for shooting guard, three-point assassin, and dunker extraordinaire Jason Richardson on Wednesday, and there's a chance he, along with Jared Dudley, will be available tonight. I'd much rather their flight get delayed, or something. Phoenix will already be without starting center Shaquille O'Neal, who will be traveling back from attending a family funeral. It'd be nice to face a team at much less than full strength, especially since the Magic are fairly healthy.
However, the Suns, even at less than 100%, are still deadly. They had only eight men available to play Wednesday night against the full-strength/deadly Los Angeles Lakers, and still managed to only lose by five. Much of that has to do with Matt Barnes' lighting up from downtown--he sank 5 of his 11 three-point attempts--but the fact stands: the Suns are still quite good.
Tune in to Sun Sports at 9 to watch Jameer Nelson blow by Steve Nash and Dwight Howard dunk on Amare Stoudemire. Go Magic.

Magic down 111-110, have the ball. 12 on the shot clock, 14.5 on the game clock
So they can’t get the last shot unless they miss and get the board.

Who do you go to here? Hedo?
Rashard’s looked sharper tonight…

Nelson's gonna be the hero... he has 10 points in this quarter
He will hit the game-winner!

TURKOGLU!!!
hits a long 2. On the same play they ran against Portland. And he was wide the F open, too.

Mr. Clutch... he plays like crap the whole game then hits the possible game winner
by Mike from Illinois on Dec 12, 2008 11:26 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Magic fall asleep on D, Hill gets a wide-open layup
112-111 with 2.7 to play.

Good D by the Suns
… Lewis was forced into taking a tough shot
by Mike from Illinois on Dec 12, 2008 11:31 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
now to begin the inevitable "Magic can't win against a team with a winning record" mantra
by TheGiantSquid on Dec 12, 2008 11:31 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
you know it's true
Portland doesn’t count either

Nope, not at all. That shot was a fluke.
by Ben Q Rock on Dec 12, 2008 11:33 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
totally
the only teams that matter at the Celtics, Cavs, and Lakers anyway
by TheGiantSquid on Dec 12, 2008 11:34 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
It's har winning 5 on the road
when your playing out west. I really hope Dwight is fine. Way more improtant

Of all people to hit the game-winner, it had to be Hill, didn't it?
by Ben Q Rock on Dec 12, 2008 11:32 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
That hurts
A revers layup froma guy with no ankle. I’ve had a few drinks, I could write 7 paragraphs about how much that hurts right now.

Tough loss... but I'm proud of the effort
… down 10 entering the fourth and almost pulling it out without Dwight Howard.
by Mike from Illinois on Dec 12, 2008 11:33 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
anyone ever notice we seem completely incapable of winning 5 in a row?
it’s really weird.
by TheGiantSquid on Dec 12, 2008 11:34 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Yeah... but I'll take 4 out of 5 the whole season
… that would mean around 65 wins.
by Mike from Illinois on Dec 12, 2008 11:36 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Hill... 15 points 9 rebounds
In hindsight… Turk probably took that shot too early and gave Phoenix too much time.
by Mike from Illinois on Dec 12, 2008 11:34 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
SVG certainly has confidence in him.
Considering he was 3/17 at that point.

Then went to 4/18 with the game on the line.
Furthermore, why was he inbounding with 2.8 seconds instead of taking his 19th shot attempt!?!??!

Wish it could have been a victory sundae!
… maybe tomorrow night! Have a good night TGS

Tomorrow night at Utah.
Certainly won’t be easy. Let’s hope we see more of tonight’s 4th quarter, and less of the 3rd.
