Magic TV mess in stalemate

According to Dave Darling's Weekend Watchdog column, no deal has been made between Bright House Networks and FSN Florida.  The Magic TV schedule is divided in such a way that Sun Sports has the bulk of the coverage before the end of the year; this was done in the hopes that a deal will be struck in time for FSN to show the remaining games, since FSN has the majority of the games in January, February, and March.

However, if there continues to be no agreement, those who don't get FSN will only get to watch 14 out of 41 games in the latter part of the season.  Also distressing is the fact that a string of games between Feb. 11 to Feb. 24 will be shown on FSN, which means that fans will be deprived of Magic basketball for over two weeks.

This not only hurts the Magic organization, but also the loyal fans of the team.  I find it somewhat appalling that local fans who subscribe to Bright House Networks are more deprived than Magic fans who don't even live in the state and can get every game not televised nationally through League Pass.  Here's hoping that a resolution will be reached soon.
