The Toronto Raptors played CSKA Moscow, Too
The Toronto Raptors are one of the NBA teams I'll play especially close attention to this year, and not just because the Orlando Magic eliminated them in the first round of last year's playoffs. Their big off-season move (trading T.J. Ford and Rasho Nesterovic to Indiana for Jermaine O'Neal) gives them an enviable one-two punch of O'Neal and Chris Bosh, but they have trouble at the wing and backup point positions. So they intrigue me.
Last night, they played CSKA Moscow in an exhibition game, as the Magic did last Friday. But unlike the Magic, the Raptors struggled with Moscow for much of the game. They emerged victorious, as Moscow expended so much energy building a big league that it didn't have enough gas in the tank to sustain it in the fourth quarter. Interesting.
Raptors HQ, Hoops Addict, and the Arsenalist have more on last night's Raptors/Moscow game. Check it out.
